News Flash: AVERAGE IS OVER-RATED.
Welcome to my blog. I can usually tell within 30 seconds of visiting a new website if I’m in or out so I hope to make this easy for you.
I am a writer and coach.
I help motivated, overwhelmed professionals to escape their average and be better physically, professionally, and personally which are areas only they can change.
I remember a few specific times in my life when someone challenged me and said, “You’re better than this…” And after I swallowed my defensiveness and reflected on their words, they could not have been more correct. I had settled for the dreaded and all too common average. But this is not what I wanted for my life. I wanted to escape average and be better.
Have you slipped into the World of Average? It’s SO easy to do. Noticeably over-weight. Little to no exercise. Sloppy Planning. Busy but not productive. Bored with life. Soft values. And reputation trumps character.
WHY THIS EVEN MATTERS TO ME
I’ve been 30 pounds overweight and miserable. I ate what I wanted when I wanted and felt I could work it off whenever I wanted. Insert self-justification here. Before I knew it, I hated how I felt and even more how I looked.
I’ve lived without a plan and wasted my time. I believed the lie that busy is productive. I’ve lived without purpose and imploded my life. I allowed average to be a description of my life and became someone I never thought I would be, an Average Joe.
I’ve also personally succeeded, failed miserably, experienced tremendous loss, and have learned to rebuild my life and my character.
As a result of struggling and growing through these experiences, I’m passionate about being better physically, professionally, and personally. I speak from personal experience of struggle and growth.
Since I travel a ton for work, I meet motivated professionals all of the time who’ve settled for average and have had enough. They long to escape average and truly be better in the areas only that can change in their lives. But they need someone they can relate to who’s been where they are and just ahead of where they want to go. I would love to play that role in that person’s life. Is it you…?
LET’S GET PERSONAL
I am a husband of one and father of four. I travel a ton for work and feel like I spend as much time in an airplane, rental car, and hotel as I do home. This is my current season of life. Using time effectively is my daily pursuit. To get a better feel of me, check out the following descriptions…

But he’s also a husband, father, voracious reader, avid sports fan, and personal development junkie.
He has an eclectic education in business management, psychology, religion, public speaking, and music. (and has the school loans to prove it!)
Bryan has had extensive experience in both corporate and church settings that give him a unique perspective on these two worlds. He’s jazzed about vision, strategy and systems but absolutely loves connecting with people at a deep level.
He’s a concept integrator who has the unique ability to research and process concepts with a strong desire to integrate them into a creative and reproducible strategy to help individuals and organizations become better.
Bryan comes from a unique background with rich experiences. Success, loss, failure, pain, and personal growth have broken and molded him into the man he is today. He’s overcome adversity (most self-inflected) and as a result, he sees life differently and as very precious.
He’s passionate about people simply becoming better. Three specific areas of his focus are Be Physically Better, Be Professionally Better, and Be Personally Better. These are areas that he’s struggled in and now turned into strengths. He loves to ask questions to learn and making better choices. He firmly believes that the quality of your choices determine the quality of your life. Better questions. Better choices. Better results.
He’s a pursued communicator and coach who is available to challenge you or your company to grow and become better physically, professionally, and personally.
